『ウミノイエの浮遊標本展』
umineueにて企画展を行いました。
時間や自然の作用によって変化を遂げた漂流物を素材とし、金属棒を加えるシンプルな操作でバランスを取り直すことで卓上のモビールを製作いたしました。バランスを取るために曲げられた金属棒は、深海を浮遊する未知の生物の一部となっています。
分解まで多くの時間を必要とする漂流物。一方で永い時間と海の作用によって誕生したとされる生命。海の作用によって変化する漂流物が、未知の生物に進化するなんてことは…まさかないよね。という妄想と、分解されるまでに長い時間を必要とする漂流物の現実とを往来しながら製作を行いました。
